With two fully equipped campsites to choose from, SOS Outdoor Centre can accommodate groups ranging from 35 to 368 in size. And what’s more, you can choose to provide your own catering or make use of our on-site catering service.

About SOS Outdoor Centre

Situated on the outskirts of Villiersdorp, only an hour's drive from Cape Town and opposite the magnificent Theewaterskloof Dam, the SOS Outdoor Centre will leave you with a renewed respect for nature and all it has to offer. Whatever your reason for visiting, your time at SOS is sure to be unforgettable.

Accommodation Options at SOS Outdoor Centre

Groups visiting the SOS Outdoor Centre have a choice between 2 fully equipped campsites, both offering dormitory style accommodation and cottages. Site visits are welcome, but by appointment only.

River Campsite

• 5 x 32-bed dormitories
• 2-bedroom leaders dormitory (Sleeps 12)
• Separate 4-bedroom cottage (Sleeps 8)

Mountain Campsite

• 5 x 32-bed dormitories
• 2-bedroom leaders dormitory (Sleeps 12)
• Separate 4-bedroom cottage (Sleeps 8)
• Additional 3-bedroom accommodation (Sleeps 6)

The cottage accommodation includes two bathrooms and a lounge area and makes for a comfortable stay for facilitators and camp organisers. These units are rented in addition to the dormitories.

Both of these campsites offer:

• Separate male and female ablution for campers
• Large dining/meeting hall
• Own kitchen
• Grassed playing areas
• Outside braai and campfire areas

Catering & Meals

SOS offers a convenient on-site catering service for weekend/holiday groups who don’t want to worry about food preparation. 

Self-catered camps have access to the following kitchen equipment:

• 2 large fridges
• Freezer
• Pots and pans (Quantity dependent on group size)
• 8-burner gas stove

On-site Activities at SOS Outdoor Centre

• Swimming in a natural, cemented swimming pool
• Mountain trails for walking/hiking
• Viewing of animals kept on the farm (ranging from alpacas, a camel, antelope, goats, owls, horses and sheep) 
• Bundu Bash obstacle course
• Teambuilding area (with separate obstacle course)
• Fynbos viewing
