The homestead and farmyard have a rich history dating back to 1727 with six newly restored buildings that are "amongst the best examples of a complete Cape Dutch Style farmyard in the Western Cape".

The Oaks Estate offers luxury accommodation as well as a spectacular wedding and function venue set against a backdrop of the Cape's most dramatic scenery. Close by, the tranquil and charming village of Greyton is one of the top countryside destinations, a mere 90 minutes drive from Cape Town.

The Oaks Estate Accommodation 

Zonderend Farmhouse

The Farm House is a spacious and comfortable double-storey house that can accommodate up to six people. With a large verandah, beautiful views, indoor fireplace and outdoor braai facilities - this house is the ideal place to relax and enjoy the tranquillity of real farm life. The House has three bedrooms, two bedrooms with a double beds and an en-suite bathrooms. Furthermore, the Farm House has a third bedroom with two single beds and a separate bathroom (shower only). It also features a living and dining area and fully equipped kitchen.

Loft Rooms

The Loft consists of three en-suite bedrooms, a lounge, library and dining area. Breakfast is served in the beautiful dining room of the Manor House. Loft 1: Two single beds with a en-suite bathroom with shower; Loft 2: Double bed with a en-suite bathroom with shower; Loft 3: Double bed with a en-suite bathroom with bath. With magnificent views of the Sonderend Mountains and surrounding farmland, these rooms are a great place to relax and enjoy the rich history of the farm.

Zonderend Cottage 1

Zonderend Farm Cottage 1 consists of one bedroom with a double bed, bathroom (shower only), kitchen, living room, indoor fireplace and outside braai facilities. There is a single daybed in the living room, suitable for a child. Other amenities include a TV with selected DStv channels and lovely views of the mountains and surrounding farm land... this cosy cottage is ideal for a romantic getaway.

Zonderend Cottage 2

Zonderend Farm Cottage 2 consists of two bedrooms and a kitchen with an indoor fireplace and outdoor braai facilities. The master bedroom has a double bed with an en-suite bathroom (shower only). The second bedroom, that is connected to the master bedroom, has two single beds. Other amenities include a TV with selected DStv channels and lovely views of the mountains and farmlands...the ideal place for friends and family to relax and enjoy nature.

Conferencing & Functions @ The Oaks Estate

The renovated, grand old Cape Dutch Farmyard provides an idyllic setting for celebrations, events, conferences and smaller functions. The old Wine Cellar (Function Venue) can accommodate up to 80 guests in a dinner style set up. The building has a fully serviced kitchen with large cooler room and conference facilities. The Oaks offer wine tastings from the wine cellar below the function venue, visible through a glass floor section. The farmyard is surrounded by beautiful farmland with fruit orchards, grazing cattle, grapevines and a mountain reserve, accessible to guests.

The Manor House provides accommodation for up to 10 guests. We normally recommend that the House is exclusively reserved for the use of the bride, groom and close family or guests. Greyton has some fantastic guesthouse and self catering accommodation. While located close enough for guests to drive from Cape Town or the surrounding area for the day, the farm and village offers the perfect setting for an exclusive weekend country wedding.
