Excelsior Manor is situated on Excelsior Wine Estate in the heart of the Robertson Wine Valley. The Manor House, set amongst shady trees, fragrant roses and a rose labyrinth, offers stylish individually decorated bedrooms. The Cape Dutch Revival Manor, once a family home, has been lovingly restored and offers elegant comfort and serenity along with personal hospitality. 

Stay @ Excelsior Manor

Excelsior Manor Guesthouse consists of nine luxurious country suites each named after famous thoroughbreds and hackneys previously bred on Excelsior Estate. All rooms incorporate the style and graciousness of yesteryear with the comfort and convenience of modern living.  We offer nine classically decorated en-suite bedrooms with one offering facilities for the disabled.

Summer days can be spent beside the deep blue swimming pool which is situated on an elevated, yet secluded wooden deck on the southern face of the house. Enjoy breathtakingly panoramic views of the vineyards and the Langeberg Mountain ranges.

For the more adventurous explore the farm and scenic view points by mountain bike or golf cart. Vinophiles can blend, bottle and lable their 'Own Creation' in Excelsior's tasting room, situated on the water's edge of the farm dam which is abundant with birdlife.

Wine Walks @ Excelsior

The Excelsior Wine Walk is a three-day excursion with daily distances of between 9 and 14 kilometres. It stops off at more than half a dozen prominent wine estates and there are some non-wine related surprises along the way. Excelsior Manor is the starting and ending point for the 3 days. Scrumptious continental and cooked breakfasts and 3 course wine pairing dinners are served at the Manor House, whilst a gourmet lunch is enjoyed at a venue along the route.

Dining @ Excelsior

Breakfast is included in the room rate and is served in the dining room from 8am – 10am (unless other arrangements are made) or outside on the deck overlooking the vineyards. It is a full ‘farm style’ breakfast which includes freshly baked muffins, cold platters of cheese and cut meat, yoghurts, cereals and fruit salad. A cooked breakfast is always available and guests are offered a choice of eggs, bacon, sausages, tomatoes and mushrooms.

Picnics:  Picnics can be provided on request for those who would like to explore the area on foot or using the golf cart.

Dinner:  Dinner at Excelsior Manor Guesthouse is a set three course menu which changes daily taking advantage of what is in season. We offer lovingly prepared, home cooked ‘farm food’.

Wine @ Excelsior 

The farm has 220ha planted with noble cultivars; Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Shiraz, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Our Cabernet Sauvignon is the most planted varietal at Excelsior and is thriving in our limestone rich soils. Blessed with a wonderful climate for growing wine grapes.
