CapeNature is thrilled to announce its latest winter promotion for all nature enthusiasts. Overnight visitors can enjoy a massive 40% discount on all accommodations at select CapeNature reserves until 31 July 2024. These winter savings offer the opportunity to experience the breathtaking beauty of the Western Cape’s natural wonders at a fraction of the cost.
According to Wesgro, the tourism, trade and investment promotion agency for Cape Town and the Western Cape, tourism in the province is on the increase, with a 20% growth in the number of visitors between January and February 2024, compared to the corresponding period last year.
Following the outstanding growth over the summer period, CapeNature wants to highlight the winter experience with its accommodation promotion.
Dr Ashley Naidoo, CEO of CapeNature, says, “Winter reveals a different side of nature, offering as much beauty and adventure as any other season. We're committed to making this accessible to all, especially when budgets are tight.”
Visitors can enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, mountain biking, ziplining, abseiling, and more when booking at any of the participating reserves. After a day packed with activities, CapeNature accommodation provides a comfortable place to rest your head on soft linen or warm up in front of a cosy fire with a good book and a warm beverage.
During the last winter season, Grootvadersbosch Nature Reserve was a firm favourite among nature lovers with its self-catering units, fabulous glamping, and traditional camping sites. Kogelberg Nature Reserve retains a faithful fanbase and is just a short drive from Stony Point and the magnificent African Penguin colony.
Travelling up the West Coast will take you to Rocherpan Nature Reserve, where the Kingfisher Cottage is a must-book, offering a private deck and hot tub, making it the perfect romantic winter getaway spot.
The Cape Karoo offers the recently reopened Anysberg Nature Reserve, offering campsites and cottages, which are highly recommended for those seeking a tranquil outdoor experience. The peacefulness creates the perfect atmosphere for relaxation and connection with nature. You will find yourself reluctant to leave and eager to return.
From the lush opulence of the Winelands to the cool breeze of the West Coast, the incredible terrain of the Overberg, the remarkable rugged mountain ranges and the captivating plant life of the Cape Karoo to the ocean vistas of the Garden Route, CapeNature has a reserve and accommodation to suit anyone’s needs.
